Hendrik Vincent Koops is a composer/AI researcher with a background in sound design (HKU), music composision (HKU) and artificial intelligence (Utrecht University).

In 2019, he defended his Ph.D. dissertation on Computational Modelling of Variance in Musical Harmony at the Department of Information and Computing Sciences at Utrecht University). His PhD was supervised by dr. Anja Volk and prof. dr. Remco C. Veltkamp.

He is currently a Senior Data Scientist at RTL Netherlands, working on AI audiovisual projects for television and video on demand.
